Mainetti Spa acquires Reca Group:
Italian quality conquers the world of fashion
The Mainetti Group, an international reality in solutions for the fashion retail sector, purchases Reca Group Spa, an Italian world leader in labelling and packaging.
A partnership that has its roots in the distant 1960s, when the Mainetti brothers and the Diacci Family embarked two long journeys that led them both to become leaders in their respective sectors of reference.
Carlo Diacci founds the Reca Group and its passionate quest for what is unique, personal and exclusive. Labels, hangtags, cool accessories, and also product packaging, the alphabetical signs of a brand’s visual identity. A young, enterprising and dynamic reality. Reca Group was founded in Carpi, in the province of Modena. In 1998 it opened in China, based in Hong Kong, and in 1999 in the USA, in New York, with an organisation dedicated to the development and penetration of the North American market.
The Mainetti Brothers launch the Mainetti S.p.a. company: Gianni is in charge of marketing, Luigi of production, while Romeo and Mario are responsible for the technical and engineering side. Initially the design and production of clothes hangers is carried out for Marzotto, but the business grows and soon begins to supply all the major clothing manufacturers in Italy: Monti, San Remo, Max Mara, Rinascente and Gruppo Finanziario Tessile. Mainetti moves to Castelgomberto, in the province of Vicenza, soon establishing itself all over the world in terms of innovation and product quality.
Today the Mainetti group operates in 60 branches on six continents producing approximately six billion clothes hangers and accessories every year. Its approximately six thousand employees offer an end-to-end service and a great time-to-market of superb products.
Paolo Diacci, Former President of Reca Group, will continue to lead the company’s business, in the role of General Manager, helping to give the group a strategic and innovative boost thanks to his consolidated expertise.
“Eager to face this challenge, aware of how important it is to evolve, we are ready to become an integral part of this extremely important reality, the Mainetti Group” – commented Paolo Diacci, who added – “Since 2000 the Reca Group’s growth has been exponential, and we have set ourselves ever more ambitious objectives. Creativity is an intuition, the imagining of a new product. Planning skills are then essential to its implementation. Design and communication consolidate the identity and recognition of the product (everyone remembers Reca Group). But widespread diffusion worldwide is our priority today, our strategic goal. I am convinced that together with the Mainetti Group we will come to represent the excellence of Made in Italy abroad, promoting and enhancing the uniqueness of our sector manufacturing tradition worldwide.”
Gabriele Bosco, European Regional Director of the Mainetti Group added: “The acquisition of Reca Group is an operation of great strategic value for the Mainetti Group, allowing us to expand our range of hangers and packaging with labels and hangtags. This operation follows the partnership agreed only a few months ago with the FVG company – Fast Value Global – (Tokyo, Japan), which has operational branches in various Asian countries, and which also includes hangtags with RFID technology in its product portfolio.”
