2014 hails a new work by Ferzan Özpetek. Fasten your seatbelts is the title of the film, whose trailer was recently previewed on the La Repubblica newspaper’s TV channel. It tells the story of an intricate three-way relationship lasting for thirteen years: Elena (Kasia Smutniak) has to deal with two men with whom she is deeply linked, either through turbulent passion (in the case of Antonio, played by Francesco Arca) or profound friendship (in the case of Fabio, played by Filippo Scicchitano). Shot entirely in Puglia, Southern Italy, produced by R&C Produzioni and distributed by 01 Distribution, it will open in Italy on the 6th of March 2014.

Allacciate le cinture, questo il titolo del film il cui trailer è stato pubblicato in anteprima su La Repubblica, racconta l’evolversi di un intricato triangolo sentimentale lungo tredici anni: Elena (Kasia Smutniak) si trova a dover fronteggiare due uomini ai quali è legata da una passione turbolenta (verso Antonio, interpretato da Francesco Arca) e da una profonda relazione d’amicizia (nei confronti di Fabio, nella vita Filippo Scicchitano). Il lungometraggio, girato interamente in Puglia, prodotto da R&C Produzioni e distribuito da 01 Distribution, sarà proiettato nelle sale italiane a partire dal 6 marzo 2014.
2014 will see the first screenings – with previews in France – of the biopic devoted to the great fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. Directed by Jalil Lespert, the film follows the designer’s story from the turning point of his life, when he was appointed creative director of Maison Dior in 1958, at the age of 21. The young Saint Laurent is played by an equally young actor from the Comédie Français, making his debut: Pierre Niney, slim of build but dominant in bearing. Pierre Bergé – professional and personal partner of the legendary fashion designer – has personally approved the film, and this leads one to believe that its narration will be accurate in every detail: faithfully recounting a reality exceeding anything which fiction might have wanted to add.

La pellicola, che ripercorre la vita del creativo a partire dalla fatidica svolta del 1958 – anno in cui il 21enne Saint Laurent fu nominato direttore creativo della Maison Dior -, è diretta dal regista Jalil Lespert. Ad interpretare il giovane stilista è stato chiamato un altrettanto giovane attore della Comèdie Française: l’esordiente Pierre Niney, corporatura gracile ed espressione impavida. L’approvazione di Pierre Bergé, compagno di vita e di professione del grande stilista, lascia presagire un racconto filologicamente curato in ogni dettaglio, al quale nulla la finzione narrativa avrebbe mai potuto aggiungere.
