London’s Hotel Café Royal, having remained closed for several years after its purchase by the luxury tourism company The Set, is now open for business once more. Magnificently positioned in Regent Street, strategically straddling the refinement of Mayfair and the creativity of Soho, the entire property has undergone a meticulous restructuring operation carried out by the London architect David Chipperfield, with the collaboration of Donald Insall Associates for its authentic period restoration. The final result is a masterfully achieved balance between different stylistic epochs: a superb blending of revitalized antique details with refined contemporary lines and colour palette. The hotel has a floor area of 1,200 square meters, distributed over five floors, offering 159 rooms and numerous luxury suites, plus gym, holistic wellbeing centre, yoga and pilates facilities, swimming pool and, of course, various different bars and restaurants in perfect period spaces dating from between 1860 and 1920.
Riapre i battenti, dopo alcuni anni di inattività seguiti all’acquisizione da parte della società The Set, specializzata nel turismo di lusso, lo storico Hotel Cafè Royal di Londra. Situato su Regent Street, in posizione strategica tra la raffinata Mayfair e la creativa Soho, il complesso è stato sottoposto ad un’accurata ristrutturazione da parte dell’architetto londinese David Chipperfield, che si è avvalso della collaborazione della Donald Insall Associates per il recupero filologico degli ambienti. Il risultato è una magistrale interpretazione di equilibrio tra epoche: con elementi antichi delicatamente giustapposti a linee raffinate e palette cromatiche dal carattere contemporaneo. Il complesso si sviluppa su di una superficie di 1200 metri quadri, distribuiti su cinque piani, per un totale di 159 stanze e numerose suite di lusso, alle quali si aggiungono palestra, centro benessere olistico, sale yoga e pilates, una piscina e diversi bar e ristoranti ospitati all’interno di sale storiche datate tra il 1860 e il 1920.
Forget about your usual safari. Francesco Galli Zugaro, an expert in international luxury tourism, has made it possible to travel the Amazon on board an elite modern five star cruise vessel. Aqua Amazon and Aria Amazon are the names of the two Aqua Expedition boats containing respectively 12 and 16 suites, and they set out from the village of Natua to travel the marvelous landscape of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Designed by the Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, the two boats offer guests every possible comfort for even the most demanding traveler. Progettate dall’architetto peruviano Jordi Puig, le due barche presentano tutti i comfort auspicabili anche dal viaggiatore più esigente: le suite, arredate nei toni caldi e neutri del paesaggio, presentano ampie vetrate che regalano all’ospite una vista mozzafiato, mentre le aree comuni comprendono una biblioteca con zona lounge, una palestra con annessa sala massaggi e un solarium panoramico.
